We’ve put together a list of the many restaurants in the area that are recommended by the Michelin Guide. There is a huge variety of cuisines and settings for you to enjoy on your holiday.

Ufford

Ufford Crown - A family-run pub in a pretty village. The dishes change daily and range from a pork belly sandwich to chargrilled duck hearts or rib of Ketley beef. Eat out on the terrace on a sunny day.

Snape

The Crown Inn - An Adnams pub in the nearby village of Snape (5.5 miles), with original oak brick floors, oak beams, and inglenook fireplace. This 15th century former smugglers’ inn raises various animals out the back, which provide most of the meat used in their regional menus.

Bridge Rd Snape IP17 1SL   01728 688324

Fressingfield

Fox & Goose Inn - Not only is it Michelin recommended, it has 2 AA rosettes, and features in Harden’s Food Guides. Traditional and modern cooking using the highest quality ingredients; with wooden beams, open fireplaces and a pleasant terrace overlooking the duck pond.

Further Afield

If you're willing to travel a little further out, then these Michelin-reccommended establishments are certainly worth a try, and the locations are lovely!

Woodbridge

The Crown - On the Thoroughfare, this modern dining pub makes the most of local produce. With a smart, granite-floored bar and four different dining areas, The Crown provides rustic cooking in a contemporary setting.

The Riverside -  Recommended by the Good Food Guide 2012, this light an airy restaurant serves delicious, well-crafted, modern dishes. A restaurant, cinema and theatre all in one, look out for the set menus which includes the price of entry to a film. We love the warm bread served with balsamic vinegar and olive oil on arrival.

Seckford Hall - A Tudor period house, built in the 1530s as the family home of Thomas Seckford, Seckford Hall offers elegant, seasonal dishes to the very highest of standard. The restaurant at the hotel has received two rosettes.

Woodbridge, IP13 6NU 01394 385 678

Westleton

The Westleton Crown -   A 17th century former coaching inn, set in a pretty little village. A welcoming beamed bar with open fires sits alongsie the more modern conservatory. The same seasonally pertinent menu is served throughout. And it’s fit for royalty - WIlliam and Kate spent their first anniversary weekend here!

Wentworth Road, Aldeburgh, IP15 5BD  01728 452312

The Lighthouse - The Lighthouse offers Mediterranean cuisine on Aldeburgh high street. The split-level eatery is popular with locals and visitors, no doubt due in part to the friendly service and laid-back feel. Of course the food is a main draw, with the constantly updated menus featuring fish captured by the local boats 200m away. Flavoursome, rustic dishes in generous portions.
