Suffolk Pubs - Framlingham

$article->leadphoto->description

Suffolk has strong agricultural roots, so it is perhaps unsurprising that many of the pubs, cafes and restaurants across the county offer locally sourced food on their menus. With lots to see and do across our beautiful county, be sure to relax and enjoy a refreshing pint and good old fashioned pub grub to fuel your Suffolk explorations.

The Railway Inn

A family pub located in the heart of Framlingham, The Railway Inn offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere to patrons whether they be first timers or regulars. The friendly and accommodating staff aim to please in order to ensure you enjoy your time at The Railway Inn. Call in for a refreshing drink or stay for a delicious meal from the menu which changes with the season. With pub classics to choose from, as well as dishes for the slightly more adventurous, the food is meticulously prepared and many of the ingredients are locally sourced. There is a marvellous Beer Garden at the rear of the pub which also hosts a Petanque game - new players are always welcome! Be sure to stop by the games room for a round of pool or darts. There is a courtyard to the front of the pub which is a sun trap in the summer, and there is a fireplace to keep you warm in the snug once the weather turns cold. The snug can also be hired for private functions and the pub hosts events throughout the years such a live music.

The Castle Inn

In Framlingham you will find The Castle Inn sitting by the entrance to Framlingham Castle. The lovely courtyard area offers views of the garden - the perfect spot to spend a lazy summer afternoon or evening. The pub serves locally produced Adnams ales and Aspall Cider, as well as guest beers. The Castle Inn is open from 10:30am for tea and coffee, scrumptious homemade cakes and popular savoury treats such as sausage rolls and scotch eggs. Lunch and dinner menus are available with food served between 12pm to 9pm daily, and you can choose something delicious off the Sandwich Menu up to 5pm. A child and dog friendly pub, why not bring the whole family along for a wonderful pub experience. There is a play area to entertain the kids, and live sports and pub games should help to keep the grown ups happy. There are offers to take advantage of throughout the year, as well as events to pencil in your diary. The function room can be hired - perfect for celebrating special occasions.
