Akenfield Cottage, Letheringham (Sleeps 2)

This beautiful new holiday home sits high on the banks of the river Deben, in the delightful rural village of Letheringham. Akenfield Cottage is spacious, light and homely with a Swedish style, wood burning stove. The beautiful terraced gardens lead down to the Deben River where a small rowing boat is moored ready for you to explore the river.

Letheringham was the setting of the book Akenfield and much of the story was filmed in and around the cottage next door.

Sleeping 2 there is a spacious and very comfortable double bedroom and large and well equipped galley kitchen divided from the living room by a breakfast bar. Picture windows look out over the stunning, sloping garden which leads down to the river in one direction and the open fields in the other.  At the very edge of the tiny hamlet of Letheringham on a quiet back road leading down to the old water mill you are unlikely to encounter much traffic. Perfect for cyclist, twitchers and romantics!

Sleeps 2 -1 king.
