Emmett’s of Peasenhall is one of Rick Stein’s Food Heroes. Mark Thomas, the owner is well known for his cooked hams and bacon and was favoured by HRH the Queen Mum when she stayed at Sandringham in Norfolk.

Alongside the deli and grocery store is now a cafe which serves lunch platters and wine and sherry by the glass. There is also a garden at the back overlooking the smokehouse where you can sit outside and eat. They sell their own label Spanish wine to accompany delicious olives, breads, charcuterie and cheeses.

Emmetts has featured in Country Living, Country Life, Sunday Times ‘Style’ Magazine and on Rick Stein’s Food Heroes. They offer a curing service for people who have reared their own pigs.
